Dragon Blade Red Carpet and Premiere in Thailand

Red Carpet Alfred Adrien Jackie JohnAH AB JCAH AB SCDB ABLast month, I had the privilege and pleasure to attend the Dragon Blade Premiere in Thailand. I got to hang with my bro Adrien Brody and big brother Jackie Chan. It still seems unreal to me because when I was a child I loved Jackie Chan movies so much and years later here I am working with the Jackie Chan Stunt Team and walking with him at a red carpet event. It was such a moment for me. I feel very blessed.

The cast which included Jackie Chan, Adrien Brody, John Cusack, and Siwon Choi had a day or two of press interviews followed by the red carpet and premiere. We had some good food and good fun along the way. I love Thailand. I have been there quite a few times now. I’ve been to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Phuket, and of course Bangkok. There was a lot of love shown in Thailand and I look forward to going back.

Also very proud to announce that 大哥’s (“da ge” means big brother in Chinese and it is what people in Asia call Jackie Chan) prediction came true. At a dinner he said there are high expectations that Dragon Blade will do very well in the box office.. and 2 weeks later after the release, it has done just that. In only 2 weeks Dragon Blade reached nearly $100 Million at the box office.

Earlier in the day, before I met up with the Dragon Blade cast, I also had the great pleasure to hang with stunt bros Charlie and Pao of The Action Guys stunt team, who were working on a car stunt that day. I got in some car hit practice which was really fun. It was a great way to start the day!

With The Action Guys in Thailand

So even though this was a super quick and last minute trip, it was action packed and very busy each day. I was in Bangkok for less than a week, but it seemed even shorter because there was so much flight, travel, and jet lag time in-between. However, the traveling and adventure did not stop after this because I flew straight back to the Los Angeles Airport.. but never even left the airport. I had to get on another flight… to Cleveland, Ohio to work on Bruce Willis’s film, Wake.

Stay tuned for my post on the upcoming feature film, Wake!
