Alfred Hsing Designs Fight Choreography on Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender

Alfred Hsing, World Wushu Champion and Stunt Coordinator (Legend of the White Dragon, Lurker) designed fight choreography and action concepts on both Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender and the upcoming Avatar: Seven Havens.

You might also recognize him as an actor on Oscar nominated Train Dreams as well as appearing in shows like The Book of Boba Fett and Silicon Valley. He also recently is slain by Matt Damon as a suitor in The Odyssey and was part of the stunt team for Everything Everywhere All At Once (doubling James Hong).

Aside from developing fight choreography, concepts, and shooting previs reference, Hsing’s movements were also used as animation reference for all the characters’ bending and action in the feature film and the upcoming animated series.
