Earlier this year I had the opportunity to once again work with Director Feng Xiaogang<\/strong> on his latest movie “Personal Tailor<\/strong>” (Si Ren Ding Zhi<\/em><\/strong>). This movie is like a remake of a movie he directed in 1997 called “The Dream Factory” (Jia Fang Yi Fang). This movie is a return to his light-hearted mainland comedy style. There was very little action in this movie, but there was one scene requiring some stunts so they brought me in as the action coordinator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Personal<\/a><\/p>\n

Director Feng<\/strong> often works with the same core team so it was nice seeing so many familiar faces from when I worked with Director Feng on his heavier historic piece “1942”. This time it was much nicer though because we were shooting in modern buildings… all the actors were in suits compared to\u00a0“1942” when we were out in the cold with nothing but dust and dirt around us<\/a>… all the actors were in rags and playing starving refugees.<\/p>\n

This movie was one of the last projects in 2013 that I worked on in China before flying back to LA. Besides the crew, I saw a lot of other familiar faces. Jackie Chan had a brief cameo in this movie. He is giving an award to Wang Baoqiang<\/strong>‘s character (Lost in Thailand<\/em><\/strong>) . In the movie when he was giving the award I was part of the audience cheering for the protagonist… sooo…. technically I was on screen in the same scene as Jackie Chan<\/strong> in this movie. haha! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

These pictures are all from the wrap party. Jackie was very generous to offer up some of his own money as part of the prizes for this raffle held during the banquet.<\/p>\n

Below we have the very famous Ge You<\/strong> who is seen in many many of Director Feng’s movies. He was a really laid back guy and was very comfortable with the whole crew. The following pictures are of the other main and supporting cast in “Personal Tailor”.<\/p>\n

The last guy pictured above is Ryan Zheng<\/strong> aka Zheng Kai<\/strong>. I worked with him on My Lucky Star<\/strong><\/em> and even did English dubbing of his voice for the popular TV show Go La La<\/strong>, so it was really cool seeing him again.<\/p>\n

My experience on this movie was very brief as there was only a few days of action, but it was a smooth and very fun experience working with so many familiar faces.<\/p>\n
