Last Thursday I had the privilege and honor to chat with former US Wushu Team member<\/strong>, former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion<\/strong>, and rising action star\u00a0CUNG LE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cung is a great embodiment of the themes of this blog– Leading an EPIC life, excelling in business, movies, and martial arts! Congrats to him in all those fields! Those are the same areas that I strive to reach the next level on and Cung Le is someone that has done it every single area. In business \u2013 he started his own martial arts school and brand (USH!). In martial arts \u2013 he was a medalist at the world wushu championships, he won the middleweight champion title in strikeforce, and he has won countless tournaments in various styles of martial arts. In entertainment \u2013 he has worked with action star Donnie Yen and is going to be in the upcoming Hollywood film \u201cTekken\u201d.<\/p>\n

So to sum it up- Cung has been an inspiration in more ways than one. For one, he has a crazy kicks highlight reel (see his kicks in the video below). To top it off he has helped promote Asian Americans in a positive light AND he is an EXTREMELY humble guy. For a guy that could throw you upside down on top of your head, he is super calm and super chill. Much respect.<\/p>\n

Now to the interview<\/strong>
\nHe was in town in LA to promote his recent movie \u201cBodyguards and Assassins<\/strong>\u201d. This is a movie that was released in Asia, but was playing at the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival<\/strong>. I interviewed him for the Pacific Rim Video Channel. In our interview he talks about what it was like working with Donnie Yen<\/strong>, his thoughts on wushu\/sanshou<\/strong> in MMA, and his strategy on his rematch<\/strong> with opponent Scott Smith<\/strong> scheduled to fight June 26, 2010!<\/p>\n
