3 x International male model of the year\u00a0Alfred Hsinglander<\/strong>\u00a0also known as “A Rock<\/strong>” credits friend, mentor, and fellow international supermodel Derek Zoolander<\/strong> for inspiring him to pursoo modeling.<\/p>\n

“When I met D Rock 8 years ago, he inspired me to pursue male modeling.” says Hsinglander.<\/p>\n

Some call him “the creator of Blue Steel<\/strong>,” Derek Zoolander<\/strong>, D Rock<\/strong>, or even “Ben Stiller<\/strong>” (not sure what that’s about)… but I call him a friend. (I also call him D Rock.)<\/p>\n

And I think it might be bold for me to say, but I am bold so I might say that D Rock and I created Blue Steel “together<\/strong>” on that fateful day over 8 years ago when we first crossed\u00a0swords. We were both wearing “blue<\/strong>” and holding “steel<\/strong>” when we realized the two objects colliding could create beauty<\/strong><\/em> that needed to be shared with the world.<\/p>\n

He is a master at his craft\u00a0so he really took the\u00a0looks that followed\u00a0to a new level with Ferrari<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0Le Tigre<\/strong><\/em>, and\u00a0La Habra.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I’ve been working on my latest look for 8 years and now I am ready to bring it\u00a0out of the shadows. “Where there is darkness, I will bring light” sounds pretty cool and is something I’ve been wanting to say for a while now.<\/p>\n

I’ve been working with an amazing photographer who is just so lucratif<\/strong>\u00a0and so hot right now<\/strong> shooting out of\u00a0Opulen Studio<\/strong>, who without her help, I would not have these pieces to share with you.<\/p>\n

I am working on a few other looks as well that you might be able to catch a glimpse of in my eyes (not literally inside my eyes silly), but those looks are not still yet not perfected.\u00a0And now… I present to you Bullet Steed<\/strong>! It channels\u00a0the strength of\u00a0steel<\/strong>\u00a0and the majesty\u00a0of a hundred stallions<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Last off, I’m going to leave you with a quote that sounds a lot like me but is actually another gud friend Hansel McD. The lesson I want share is to just live life. Rip it and grip it.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I hear a lot of words like “beauty” and “handsomeness” and “incredibly chiseled features.” To me, that’s like a vanity that – a self-absorption that I try to steer clear of. I dig the bungee. I mean, for me, it’s just the way I live my life. I grip it, and I rip it. I live with a lot of flair. I live it on the edge, where I gotta be. I wasn’t like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut. I was always more interested in, uh, what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere’s a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting will be another person who’s a hero. The music that he’s created over the years. I don’t really listen to it, but the fact that he’s making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I’m selling? No. Do I know what I’m doing today?
