Delicates vs Regulars – LG National Commercial

Blessed to have landed two national commercials this year. I landed my first Samsung national commercial for their flagship phone the Galaxy S6 Edge a few months ago then within a few months I book this LG national commercial for LG’s Twin Wash appliance.
In this commercial I worked in a motion capture suit at Digital Domain. They capture our body movements and then in post turn us into just clothes- clothes that fight.
I had the honor and pleasure of working with action director Andy Cheng of the Jackie Chan stunt team and one of my former wushu coaches Ming Qiu on this commercial. I represented “the regulars” while Ming represented “the delicates.” The commercial had a westside story plus crouching tiger hidden dragon feel.
We shot in a major motion capture studio, Digital Domain that has worked on blockbuster feature films such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We had a stunt team and also a dance team to help capture all the moves needed for the commercial. I got to do some fun wirework, get side kicked, flip off a wall, and work on some fight choreography with Ming.
